My buddy RB sent us a care package from the U.S. last week, which contained special treats for all, including my favorite condiment, A1! Forget ketchup and mustard, A1 is good on everything, from steaks to burgers to French fries, to baked potatoes.

Try HP Sauce! It's a worthy opponent!
My husband seconds the HP - he stocks up on bottles whenever we are in the UK.
Oh yeah, and he (the husband) said HP Fruity is the most like A1.
What I find funny about this post is for years my aunt in Derbyshire sent my dad a semi-annual care packet when we were in the States and in it was always a brand new bottle of HP. That was years before they started selling it in some grocery chains here.
I can't do HP sauce. It's thicker and less vinegar-y than A1. To me it's like eating frozen yogurt and fantasizing about ice cream! :)
