Sweeney Todd has fascinated me since I saw the commercials for the national production with Angela Lansbury when it came through Chicago many many years ago. You mean there’s a musical about what? After listening to the audiowalk I had to see the film. If you like musicals, definitely see it. Johnny Depp is always a box office draw for me, but also the art direction and the costumes are really good. It is a bloody film but it is mostly done in a very theatrical way so I didn’t find it as gory as I expected it to be.
